What is First Preferred Notary?

We are a team of  notary publics, loan signing agents and mortgage analysts. We have partnered with legal professionals, title companies and real estate agents with the sole purpose of  helping to ease the transition and process as you achieve this next milestone in your life.

How does remote online notarization work?

Remote online notarization represents the future of the notary industry. 

At First Preferred Notary, we use an electronic notary public software service to conduct face to face meetings. This service is extended to clients via Android, iPhone, iPad, a web-enabled desktop or laptop with a webcam. Your meeting will be conducted with a certified loan signing agent. How do I download the notarized document?

Upon completion of the notarization session, you will be redirected to the session summary page. You will then see the link to download your notarized document(s).

You will also receive an email with a link to download your document(s).

Please note that your document(s) will only be available for 7 days after the notarization session is complete.

How do I prepare my computer for an online notarization?

You need a web browser such as Google Chrome or Safari You will also need reliable internet connection, a webcam, speaker, and a microphone.

Is online notarization legal?

Yes. Remote Online Notarization (RON) is legal in all 50 states. We are more than happy to assist you with general information wherever and whenever we can. Feel free to contact us at support@firstpreferrednotary.com..

What are the benefits of online notarization?

Mobile notarizations can be long, tedious, and expensive. The process of remote online notarization is designed to be safe, secure, inexpensive and fast. 

How does First Preferred Notary protect my personal and confidential information?

First Preferred Notary partners with industry leaders and powerhouses to ensure the security of any and all of our client's  personal identifiable information, payment, and encrypted data storage. Any information we are not required to keep is deleted.

What are the acceptable forms of ID that I can use on Notarize?

The laws governing acceptable forms of identification may vary by state. The following list of acceptable forms of identification include but is not limited to:

Valid unexpired photo IDs 

U.S. State Issued Driver’s License

U.S. State Issued Photo ID

U.S. Passport Book

U.S. Passport Card

Certificate of US citizenship

Certificate of Naturalization

Foreign Passport

How much does it cost to get a document notarized?

$25 per document

$6 per certificate

How to get ready for an online notarization session?

First, schedule an appointment on the First Preferred Notary website.

Check your email for an invitation to a remote online notarization session.

Upon completion of the steps listed here 

you will be assigned to a certified loan signing agent who will notarize your documents for you.

What are First Preferred Notary’s hours of operation?
